Following up the same stable's 33-1 winner Amy Eria (Ire) (Shamardal) in 2015 when successful 12 months ago at 12-1, Al Jazi was only the 9-4 favourite this time as she provided Francois Rohaut with a third consecutive renewal. Settled behind the leading quartet early travelling comfortably, the bay who was last seen finishing ninth in the G1 Diamond Jubilee S. at Royal Ascot June 24 kicked into the lead passing the furlong pole and was clear when eased late by Frankie Dettori to win by 1 1/4 lengths from the long-time leader Eternally (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}), with Tomyris (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) a head away in third.
