RERIDE (c, 2, Candy Ride (Arg)&log=">Candy Ride {Arg}–Remit {MSW, $257,556}, by Tapit), making his first start since being named a 'TDN Rising Star' on Churchill main-track debut June 8, sat a cozy inside trip, took over in upper stretch and withstood a late challenge from Mr. Recio (Scat Daddy) to run his record to two-for-two Wednesday at Keeneland. Stretching out to a route of ground and trying the grass for the first time, the homebred was able to secure the box seat from gate two and traveled nicely under a long rein from Ricardo Santana Jr. Inside on the turn, Reride was shifted out neatly into the three path in upper stretch and was joined at the eighth pole by turf debut winner Mr. Recio at the furlong grounds, but fought on grimly for a 3/4-length victory at odds of 10-1. Reride is out of two-time stakes winner Remit, herself a full-sister to MGSW & GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile runner-up Tapiture as well as to SW & GSP Retap. Reride's yearling half-brother by Bodemeister fetched $700,000 from Shadwell at last month's Keeneland September sale and Remit foaled a Munnings filly earlier this year before being covered once again by Candy Ride. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $68,220. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
