A well-made son of Candy Ride (Arg) from Grade III winner Fencelineneighbor (Wild Rush) quickly accelerated past Wednesday's sales-topping price of $550,000 and was ultimately knocked down to bloodstock agent Dennis O'Neill for $875,000 to lead the way during Thursday's third day of bidding at the OBS April Sale in Central Florida. Officially two days shy of its second birthday, the ridgling was purchased by Gainesway in utero for $150,000 at the 2013 Keeneland November sale, then paid that bill and then some when selling to the Valera Stable for $280,000 at last year's Keeneland September sale. Catalogued as hip 803 from the Niall Brennan Stables consignment, the bay advertised himself with a :10 flat work during his under-tack preview last week.
