Entry fees for all 2016 Breeders' Cup races have been increased, an official at Breeders' Cup Ltd. confirmed Thursday afternoon. Entry fees for all races except the GI Breeders' Cup Classic and GI Breeders' Cup Turf have been raised by 50%, from 2% of the total purse to 3%. Fees for the Classic and Turf have been increased to 2.5% of the purse from 2%. Breeders' Cup announced $1-million purse increases for both the Classic and Turf earlier this week. Fee increases were approved at a Breeders' Cup board meeting in February, and are in line with what they were prior to reductions in 2013.
