Bolger Hoping For Pleascach Return

Pleascach | Racing Post

Godolphin's Classic winner Pleascach (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) has been notable by her absence this year, but her trainer Jim Bolger is still hopeful she will make a racecourse appearance this autumn.

“I hope to have her back by September,” said Bolger. “She's had a few little setbacks.” The 4-year-old was last seen finishing fourth to Golden Horn (GB) (Cape Cross {Ire}) in the G1 QIPCO Irish Champion S. at Leopardstown last September. She had previously established herself as one of the top 3-year-old fillies in Europe with wins in the G1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas at The Curragh and the G1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York. Pleascach was also bred by Jim Bolger and she was acquired by Godolphin prior to Royal Ascot last year where she finished second in the G2 Ribblesdale S.
