+FINN'S GIRL (f, 2, Bernardini–Oonagh Maccool {Ire}, by Giant's Causeway), a $600,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, won at first asking over the turf Tuesday afternoon. The bay had an even series of works down the road at Fair Hill in preparation for this unveiling, and perhaps tipped her hand with a bullet five-panel breeze from the gate in 1:01 flat July 16. Bet down to 7-5 favoritism, she saved ground in midpack as Sky Burn (Wilburn) dictated terms through fractions of :24 1/5 and :47 4/5. Angled off the rail approaching the far turn, she circled the field in the three path turning for home and found her best stride late to win going away by 3 3/4 lengths. Sittin' n' Sippin (Straight Talking) was second and Sky Burn held to finish third. The winner is a half to Cool Street (Street Cry {Ire}), GSP, $150,241. Her dam, Oonagh Maccool, captured the GII Rampart H. and the GII Louisville Breeders' Cup H. in 2006. She produced a filly by Tapit last year. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $20,400.
