Belmont, Monmouth at Far Hills to Offer Joint Pick 4

The New York Racing Association, Inc. and Monmouth at Far Hills will partner to offer horseplayers an all-stakes Pick 4 this Saturday, Oct. 20.

The Empire Showcase Day card from Belmont Park features eight stakes races for New York-bred horses, including the featured $300,000 Empire Classic. The Empire Showcase card will be broadcast live on MSG and MSG+ from 4-6 p.m.

The 98th edition of the Far Hills Race Meeting, which features purses totaling a National Steeplechase Association record $900,000, will offer pari-mutuel wagering for the first time on the historic single-day New Jersey steeplechase meet.

“This exciting offering provides a unique wagering opportunity with large fields for horseplayers to experience the best of Far Hills steeplechase racing while showcasing our New York-bred talent to a wider audience with the Empire Distaff and Empire Classic stakes taking center stage,” said Joe Longo, NYRA's Director of Simulcasting. “We're thrilled to be a part of the first pari-mutuel wagering card at the Far Hills Race Meeting.”
