A pair of new stakes races for 2-year-olds have been added to the schedule for the Los Angeles County Fair at Los Alamitos meet slated for Sept. 5 through Sept. 22. Five stakes in total will be run worth a guaranteed $400,000, including the inaugural $75,000 Phone Chatter S. for 2-year-old fillies Saturday, Sept. 14 and the $75,000 Capote S. for juvenile colts and geldings a week later. Both races will be run over 6 1/2 furlongs. Racing will be conducted on a Thursday-Sunday schedule.
